Tim Parker

Journalist, author and former Friends Trustee Tim Parker died on 2nd June following a short illness.

Tim spent time in the Navy and worked for ICI before moving to Brighton where he planted and ran one of the first vineyards in the area.  He wrote a popular weekly column ‘Parker’s Progress’ in the Brighton & Hove Argus and a weekly serial for Johnston Press.  He was the author of three books.

Tim served as a Friends Trustee from 2003 – 2012. He brought a wise and questioning approach to the Trustee Board which was highly valued; in particular he worked to build connections with the Hove business community.
